- Find a quiet spot.
- If you will play reference notes, use headphones so the sound does not reach the microphone.
- Sing at a comfortable volume. There is no need to force high or low notes.

What are semitones and cents?
A semitone is the distance between two neighbouring piano keys, counting the black ones.
A whole tone equals two semitones.
A cent is one hundredth of a semitone. Differences of a few cents are hard to hear; voices move naturally with vibrato and at the start of a note.
If you feel pain, dizziness or vocal fatigue, stop the exercise and rest.
